Hill Rivkins Collects on the Judgment in the DG Harmony Litigation

On March 24, 2011, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals denied the Petition for Reargument filed by PPG Industries, Inc. (“PPG”), clearing the way for enforcement of the judgment obtained by Hill Rivkins as lead counsel for Cargo Interests. Following the previous finding of liability against PPG by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2005, PPG and Cargo Interests entered into a stipulation of damages, which was entered as a judgment of the district court. In accordance with this stipulation, on May 10, following the Second Circuit’s denial of PPF’s Petition for Reargument, PPG satisfied the judgment to cargo interests in excess of 30 million dollars.
